I think doing an official cambridge exam is an excellent idea because once you have achieved certain certifications it opens the door to many opportunities. Often however students know the grammer but have problems expressing their ideas in the real world. A great way to improve your conversation is to TALK ! There is a great english language blog to help with this problem. take a look. www.you2canspeakenglish.com.
